Rough-housing (with droo)

At the risk of posting too much in the beginning of my Vox tenure, I have to post about ZZ.

ZZ is the most amazing little girl ever to live. She is the sweetest little girl, with the best attitude of any child I have ever met.

Going through all the trials that I am right now, she keeps me focused on: beauty; majesty; faith; innocence; fun; humor; sweetness; simplicity; now. I am sure my story is not unique. Every parent thinks their kid is the most amazing thing ever to exist. I don't care, though. For me, having ZZ in my life has never made me cry more.

Battery In Your Leg

Today, as we were goofing off and she was looking at me mischievously and then crawling away, egging me on to dive at her and "smoosh" her as she giggled uncontrollably, I have never been happier. I am so excited with every little thing she does. I want her to grow up knowing how the world is, and having the baseline to be able to look at things in her life and approach them without fear and with confidence. I envision her standing on a plain, waving her palm, and the world capitulating to her benevolence. A very anime metaphor, but she is so rockin' I can say whatever.

ZZ, you are the best thing ever. Thank you for filling me with so much.
